Tuesday was the start of @MablinsSchool lunch time hockey competition. Teams of mixed year groups are competing against each other. It is being organised and run by the Sports Council. There was some fantastic skills on show this lunchtime! Well done everyone!
We are holding a math’s week in school next week and we are inviting parents to our Maths stay and play on: Wednesday 13th March, 9.15am to 10.15am and 2.00pm and 2.50pm to see the fun and exciting things that we get up to in our math’s lessons.
On 21st March 2019 @MablinsSchool will celebrate World Down Syndrome Day by wearing odd socks! Cheshire Down’s Syndrome Support Group have invited us to join the award winning Big Gingerbread Biscuit Sale too. Gingerbread socks will be for sale for 50p at playtime @DSAInfo
It’s Red Nose Day on Friday 15th March. @MablinsSchool will be inviting children to come dressed in anything red for a voluntary donation of £1. @comicrelief #RedNoseDay
Don’t forget… It’s World Book Day 2019 on Thursday 7th March. We will be celebrating by having a ‘Snuggle with a book’ day. Children are invited to come in their pyjamas, bringing with them their favourite book. There is NO cost.WE w
Don’t forget our Forest Schools Competition. We want you to come up with a name for our Forest School and design a logo for it too. All entries to be on A4 paper. Deadline has been extended to Friday 8th March.
Our Fairtrade stall was busy at lunchtime today. There are some lovely items for sale. Prices start at £1 for friendship bracelets & pencils, but there are lots of others things on offer too. The stall is open every day this week. @FairtradeUK #FairtradeFortnight
We had a special visitor today was Matthew from ‘and Albert in Chester who sell Fairtrade merchandise. Matthew reminded the children what Fairtrade was & what it is for. He said Fairtrade products are made in over 30 different countries. @FairtradeUK #FairtradeFortnight

Our School Council visited London last Friday. They had an amazing day. They visited the Houses of Parliament where they had a fantastic tour and workshop and met Lord Hazelhurst @UKParlEducation
The children enjoyed the rest of their time in London too, visiting the National History Museum @NHM_London
