School Council 2018 – 2019

Children are at the heart of our school community. As a school we value the thoughts, ideas and opinions of all our children and the School Council is one way of ensuring the voice of the children is heard and has an impact on the development of the school.

Spring 2019

Our School Council visited London last Friday. They had an amazing day. They visited the Houses of Parliament where they had a fantastic tour and workshop and met Lord Hazelhurst

The children enjoyed the rest of their time in London too, visiting the National History Museum

Autumn 2018

Our first event this year is our annual Macmillan Coffee Day on Friday 28th September 2018

Autumn 2017

The School council have been very busy already this year. They have created a development plan with their aims for the year on it.

Their top priority is enhancing the playground with painted playground games.

We had a great time on Friday 29th September, when we sold lots of delicious cakes to raise money for Macmillan Caner Support. We raised the grand total of….


What a fantastic achievement.

In addition, the shoes that the children have donated are currently in the container and on their way to Mexico!

Spring 2017

The children in this years school council group are really pro-active and work positively together in a team. There is a real sense of team spirit and a desire to achieve the best for our school.

The children are always coming up with new initiatives and this year have set themselves a target to raise £5000 for charity.

The children will be having a book sale of second hand books. The money raised is going to the Donna Louise Children’s Hospice.
